It’s been an amazing month or so of workshops in Sydney and Melbourne. Every student went home with a brilliant painting or several paintings, depending on the workshop, and renewed energy and enthusiasm for their creativity and a renewed belief in their self.

Marg C from Melbourne learned blooms and is a wonderful painter. I hadn't seen Marg for a couple of years .
Due to a few things that came along in life, Marg was unable to get to the easel for a bit. It can happen. It happened to me once! She wanted a creative reboot after an absence from painting.
Marg painted these stunning hay bales and played with a new colour palette.

I met some wonderful people and had a ball as I coaxed my students into their best possible artistic selves with easy to understand guidance and tips, and great information that accelerated their results. No wonder the doubters became believers as they glazed their finished paintings with pride and confidence!

Alan Powell  from Mornington just retired from his profession and his wife thought
it would be a good idea if learned to paint. He had never painted before!

Yes, I teach painting but I know that its mostly about changing your mind about what you can do  in the time you are with me.

Anna Boxtel was after a painting style and approach to free up her painting and express herself with the paint and tools
and have fun with it yet produce a painting series she loves. This is one of two large pieces she painted along with a series of smaller pieces at the Melbourne Freestyle Workshop.

Jane Jordan looking pretty chuffed she had found a  way to
translate her gorgeous photos from China thanks to unlocking some new painting
approaches in the Blooms freestyle. So much gorgeous colour.

Judy was up for expanding her painting tools and techniques.
Judy learned to paint with the Blooms Painting Method and even had training to teach it.
She sold her first painting for more than $5,000. Amazing!

My creative vision of what is possible for you is so much more generous than your own usually  because of the inner critic that keeps you small and most of the time you don't realise it, and that's why everyone finishes in such a great place and has the space to go and be freed up creatively and produce. I LOVE my job!!!

So many new friendships are made as we get to know each other as we paint.

 The results have been so amazing. I have buffed and honed my Blooms painting method I originated over 20 years ago. Now we can do in 4 days what we used to do in a 6 days workshop. So I celebrated with a limited edition of Blooming Fabulous T-shirts for my students.

 Now it’s time to review and reset for the year, so not only will I share some of the stunning results here, I will share the new Blooms painting workshop dates here and in my next blog I will share about my new Blooms Masterclass Program you can enjoy online.

More good news! Some of you may have seen the article by journalist Christine McCabe in last weekends The Weekend Australian newspaper. Christine wrote in glowing terms about my French Art School Tour in a double page spread as she actually was a guest in September 2017. 

Everyone who has been on my tour already knew how much fun and how inspirational the experience is and now the rest of Australia gets to find out too! I couldn't be more proud. I will include a copy of that in my next blog in case you missed it. Catch it before it becomes a fish and chip wrapper!

Having taught at least 60 fabulous individuals over the last two months in person, treating each person as the work of art they are, I can safely say that the most important thing is to allow yourself to trust and to give yourself permission to try. 

Once you get yourself to the workshop you are in the best of hands, and through my tried and true Blooms Painting Method, a process so unique that it is trademarked, you will learn the steps you need to create stunning work to make a difference to your own artwork and art practice.

So congrats to all the brave peeps who showed up to workshops and confessed they had had it on their bucket list for at least 4 years and finally cracked themselves open to find they could in fact paint like stars.
