NEXT BLOOMS PAINTING WORKSHOPS DATES (as listed below)

THE ONLY THING STOPPING YOUR CREATIVITY
COULD BE YOU!

Blooms students in Los Angeles  at the DOWNTOWN ROOM studio enjoying a moment October 2017;
Susan McG from Pasadena, Marlene from Detroit and Jessica from Chicago

It’s been a cracking month or so with Blooms Painting Workshops in Los Angeles, Perth and Brisbane. People ask me how I manage such a schedule.
The answer is, I LOVE IT! And I love seeing the results people get. Like newbie painter Angela from country WA, who did the Perth workshop this month....

I get to rest inbetween and hang out with my kids as I am doing now, and on my weekend off this weekend I have invited the ladies from my Make Money From Art Program to paint alongside me at Salon Rouge Gallery and enjoy some hang out time painting together.  Just for fun! There could be some bubbles involved!

Downtown LA where I held the first US Blooms Workshop

Painting for me is not work it's a passion.

In these recent workshops  and in fact all year I’ve met awesome people in awesome places and seen some amazing paintings evolve out of my Blooms Painting Workshops from people often with little or no experience whatsoever who have hankered to do my workshop for some time.

Susan McG from Pasadena gives the blooms 2 Day workshop in Los Angeles the thumbs up. As a newbie painter she was thrilled to learn she could paint. The other ladies in the group were equally successful. Hello Karen, Marlene and Jessica!

I am grateful for all of these people who have come into contact and sparkled through their creativity. I love their stories and I love seeing their victories over their fears as they bust through and create the paintings they are proud of.

What about Josh's amazing painting, one of two he did in the recent 4 day Brisbane workshop?

Many students stalk me online for years before coming to a workshop

Often by their own confessions some have stalked me online for some time before coming to a workshop! So funny! I just love that confession. It’s a common one and it makes me chuckle. How many more of you are hiding out? How long do you want me to be teaching for before you will hand yourself in? I am 54 now. You might like to get yourself to a workshop!

Donna is a store manager in her day job and new to painting. She uncovered a talent for painting at the Blooms Painting Workshops Perth in November. So great to see!

The results of the workshops have been genuinely shockingly fantastic. I can guarantee I have some excellent workshops available for December and January.

USUALLY THE PERSON STANDING IN THE WAY OF YOU AND YOUR CREATIVITY IS YOU

Why not give yourself permission to come along?
Being on the cusp of 2018 get your creative house in order!
Make painting the everyday normal for you!

Despite the different locations of my Blooms workshops, there was a common theme amongst students

Most of these students have known about my workshops for ages and had it on the bucket list.  Even for as long as five years.

They were RELIEVED to hand themselves over for the Blooms Painting experience despite their fears and finally see what it was all about to learn to be able to paint.
Often they were waiting for the perfect time. That could be because they were busy with family, partners, work or health….. until now. Now they could put themselves first and they were thankful I am still teaching so they could come along.

Elaine from central Queensland shares what she liked about the Blooms Painting Workshop in November in Brisbane

Sometimes it’s wondering if they should spend that money on themselves, and if it will be worth it. Not only the question of will Jacqueline Coates be worth it but will it be worth spending that on themselves with no proven artistic talent, just the desire to paint. Will it be a waste or will it be a breakthrough? Judge for yourselves the results! Why die wondering?!

Make a decision either way because sitting on the fence post, nothing much happens!

At a Blooms Painting Workshop I show you how to handle the paint, the brush, and how to get your paint to do what you want it to do, to get the results you want.
I have developed a system of painting that cuts out years of wasted time so you save a lot of time and pain and wasted efforts when you show up to a Blooms Painting Workshop.

That saves you a lot of money and gets your confidence up when you walk away with beautiful results you are proud to hang on your wall and show to friends.
It’s so typical of good women that they put themselves after everyone else’s needs before they will give to themselves. When will you give to yourself?

Georgia from Adelaide loves painting but had been having issues with paintings taking a long time to do. Blooms helped her bust out of the rut and she is now off and running with loads of new techniques.

WARNING;
Putting yourself first occasionally can make you happy!

The joy I noticed that flowed from showing up to pursue their dreams and to get the results they came for was very moving. It’s what makes my job doing what I do complete. I know it frees up students to pursue their painting passions. They find that thing that is for them.

I have spoken with Liz Byers this week, from the recent Sydney workshop and since the workshop she tells me she hasn’t stopped painting. She simply can’t enough of it!

She tells me;

‘I have made a studio in the garage and I go there between 9-12 to paint. I have to put the timer on because otherwise I don’t come out of there! It’s so absorbing and I love it!
Your workshop is the most invigorating thing I have ever done! I loved every minute of it’

Now if that doesn’t sound like a creative reboot and a repurposing in life I don’t know what is! I could hear the thrill in her voice and the paintings look great after the workshop. Hubby completes supports her passions too!

A workshop can change lives. Students are free to pursue what they want to paint after a workshop. Some go it alone and others jump on board for some of my painting programs. In case you are wondering if the results only happen for a few, here are the shots from a room of paintings in Perth including mine and the assistants making a total of 14 paintings.

It takes courage to paint when you aren’t sure what the outcome will be. Once you are there at the workshop youa re guided through a system of painting. The students from frustrated art teachers to those who have been following my progress online, to total newbies, had the courage to bust through their concerns and show up and make the change. ALL finished with a lot of new skills and the confidence to go and do more.

My painting workshop is not like other art workshops. I’ve dedicated my life to teaching. I am not competing with my students. My students go on to do more amazing things than me because they have the freedom to paint and pursue their painting after tuition with me and I couldn’t be more proud. I am told I am a generous teacher but you already know that if you have stalked me well. And I hope you have.

Lois from Queensland is a newbie painter and more used to quilting. She was thrilled with her paintings and the fact she could achieve such a great result in a short time compared to quilting or anything else she has done.

So are you going to take action or remain a have-not? Is 2018 going to be enhanced by your artistic skills? Are you going to bloom and grow with your paintings? Are you going to discover the joys of playing with colour and making stunning combinations of colour on your canvases? Or are you going to stay stuck?

Here’s where you can find me in person to unlock painting for you.

There are two choices of Blooms art classes on the go for December and January.  I am about this week and next week if you want to call me to book in and ask any questions. To book in I require a deposit and the balance 4 weeks beforehand.
